Nick Parsons was born in Kamloops, April of 1982.  Music has always been a major part of my life, with my parents introducing me to the piano at the tender age of five.  I have been continually progressing as not only a piano player, but a composer/songwriter as well.  Many of my songs and poetry have been written with elements of both hope and faith, with love also being a prominent characteristic.

Believing in my dreams has always been important in my life, and embracing change has allowed me to face and conquer many unique opportunities.  Currently, I hold my Grade 10 Royal Conservatory of Music With Honours and an Accounting Diploma from Kwantlen Polytechnic University.  In the future, I plan to go back to school for a double major: Vocal performance (focusing on opera) and Biology Honours, before pursuing graduate work in the biology field.

As of the re-upload of my website using a new hosting provider, August 2018, I am focusing not on finishing my requirements regarding my advanced piano, but using the knowledge that I have learned and applying it in the fields of musical composition and vocal work, and in the future, studio work.  Although I am not finishing my advanced piano practical (playing) requirements, I will be focusing on my theoretical (theory) work, which includes counterpoint (writing two or more melodic lines at the same time), advanced harmony and analysis (analyzing the formal structure of Classical works).  This advanced theoretical work will help me also to complete the Classical compositions I have started (on the bottom of "My Compositions" page) as well as orchestral works.  In 2016, I took a few months of vocal training a local music school.

Along with this website, I am also working on several projects or ventures.  These include working on my first adult romance novel trilogy (which includes a mix of both fantasy and modern elements) as well as working on my autobiography.

In August, 2017, I had started a love shop/romance business using "Second Life" and a computer program "Adobe Photoshop."  As of April 25, 2018, I have been unsure as to whether this business will actually happen.  At this point in time, I am spending some time refocusing and reflecting on the past 3 years, since starting Second Life.  Considering my emotional state of being, I do not plan to pursue this business any further.  That being said, I have, however had thoughts about pursuing In-World employ, which I plan to do in 2019.

Two quotes come to mind.  As in the words of Tom Hanks from the movie Forrest Gump, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get."  I have always believed in the good of people and that I have never been alone in my life.  The second quote is from the movie  A Cinderella Story "Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game."  We will all make mistakes in life, but it is getting up and pushing forward which allows us to grow and rise in life.  It is my blessing and wish to all people who allow the sun to allow them to reach and open the door for others for their light to shine through.
